NANAS's - the animal sanctuary originated as NOAH'S ARK LODGE Private Animal Shelter in Singapore in 1995 and is now located in the town of Pekan Nanas Johor. The mission is to provide an old folks' age home for strays and ageing animals. It all started with Mr Raymund Wee poured body and soul into his work for the strays. He sold off his shophouse and with the S$1.5 million dollars, transformed NOAH'S ARK into one of the foremost private animal shelters in Singapore and so on....

About Pets Welfare Organisations

The Cat Welfare Society is a charity, run almost entirely by volunteers, who want to improve the welfare of stray cats in Singapore. They believe that no animal should be denied food and water, shelter and space; no animal deserves to be abandoned or abused. All stray cats deserve our compassion and protection.

Action for Singapore Dogs (ASD) is a non-profit organization with the mission to improve the welfare of stray and abandoned dogs in Singapore. They aim to fulfill their mission through various activities and programs including rescuing, fostering and re-homing of stray and abandoned dogs, advocating sterilization as a means of controlling the stray population, heightening public awareness of the responsibilities involved in pet ownership and highlighting the virtues of our local dogs.

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) is the first registered animal welfare charity in Singapore. It is located at 31 Mt. Vernon Road, Singapore. The two main objectives of the SPCA are to promote kindness to animals and birds, and to prevent cruelty to animals and birds.

Animal Lovers League - Pets Villa opened its doors on 15th Feb 04 to the rescued strays that are now no longer strays but pets of the persons placing them at Pets Villa. They depend on dedicated volunteers to help in cleaning and upkeep of the place, bathing and de-ticking of the dogs amongst a host of other chores. They also require regular contribution of food and other accessories from the public to give the doggies and kitties the comfort and happiness they deserve .

The House Rabbit Society of Singapore (HRSS) is an all-volunteer, non-profit organisation dedicated to rabbit welfare and awareness in Singapore. HRSS seeks to reduce the number of unwanted rabbits and improve rabbits' lives through education.

SOS Animals is a non-profit, volunteer-run stray animal rescue group which advocates humane treatment for strays. SOS animals takes in stray cats and dogs and helps to re-home strays.

Canine Love - K9love.org serves as a means to help dogs that badly need a second chance in life - dogs that are abused, abandoned, neglected or left on the streets, dogs whose company his owner has grown tired of or for various other reasons. The mission of Canine love is to find new homes for dogs - be they strays, abused dogs or pets given up for adoption.

Mettacats.org - MettaCats is a non-profit animal welfare group, hence the day to day running of the cattery depends largely on the sponsorship by volunteers and members of the public. Metta means loving kindness and compassion to radiate to those injured and abused strays and to all other animals.
